My Students
My third graders this year are so eager to learn. They love to read, write, and share their stories with the class. In math, they love using manipulatives and working together. Technology is greatly used in my classroom. We have computers, CD players, a Promethean board and a COW (computer on wheels) that we share with other classes. Often times, there isn't enough time in the day to cover everything. So, we must not waste any time! All the resources coming into our classroom need to be valuable and accessible. Sometimes due to lack of resources or money, we are limited to what we have. Your contribution allows us to not waste anytime and learn!
My Project
Technology in the classroom is always an awesome resource. My students get excited when I wheel the COW (computer on wheels) into my classroom. One educational computer program we have is called, Imagine Learning. Students need their own set of headphones for this, so that they are able to hear stories and directions. Now, half way through the year, the headphones we have are slowly being worn down. It would be awesome to have a class set that we can use not only for the remaining school year, but next year as well. With state testing coming up, all testing will be done on a laptop. My students need practice with typing and using a computer mouse. The more we practice with these, the better they will be prepared for state testing.
