This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach second grade students in an inclusion classroom. This includes students with ADHD, speech and language disorders, autism and ESL. Every year I've watched my students face challenges both in and out of the classroom. Even with these struggles, they come to school everyday, ready to learn and always put their best foot forward! Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. Their determination and hard work is evident as they continue to grow everyday. You can help me by giving them the technology tools they need to continue learning across all areas of the curriculum. Technology and their educational experience with it will allow for meaningful learning experiences to take place and motivate students to strive to reach academic excellence.

My Project

Educational experiences with technology will allow us to provide meaningful learning experiences and motivate students to strive to reach academic excellence.

Can you imagine having the technology available in the classroom for students to use, across all areas of the curriculum, and at any time during the school day? This would be a dream come true.

My students would use these Microsoft Surface Go's during small group instruction to access online resources and activities. They would also be able to learn and work cooperatively with their classmates on reading digital texts and further their reading levels with programs such as the Accelerated Reader Program, and in math, they would be able to use iReady and learn zillion to watch math videos to support the math concepts being taught.

My students would be able to access a more personalized education. Giving students access to these Microsoft Surface Go's, would further student learning, engagement, creativity, and overall skills that are needed not only today but for the future. Please consider giving to our project. Thank you.
