My Students
Do you remember feeling like you were never going to get a concept? Students need to feel like they can do it. With building a strong foundation in both reading and math through technology, kids will build the curiosity they need to be successful students.
I have a classroom full of 31 kids, who come from all different backgrounds.
The majority of my students are ELL. Our school is a Title I school that is a turn-around school, which means we are trying to go from failing to succeeding in math, science, and language arts. School for most of these kids is their safe place and the only place they are getting their meals.
My Project
Creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration are all things technology brings to the classroom. To develop these skills, we need classrooms where students are working in teams and using technology to build creative, meaningful content that reflects their understanding and learning. This is why I am asking for two iPads with covers for my classroom. By effectively using technology to support innovative, student-centered, inquiry-based learning, students will want to learn more and be excited about learning.
Technology, when used correctly, can make the classroom a place for active learning and critical thinking, furthering student questions and connections with the materials.
Technology enables students to explore math facts and reading skills while engaging them to want to learn more.
