it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Covid-19 affected my students' ability to collaborate and interact with their peers. As an online school teacher, collaboration is tough to accomplish. Student engagement is also a tough task. Introducing engaging electives was a challenge I felt I needed to make a reality. Introducing gaming development and Esports courses was at the top of my list. Through these courses, we have expanded our program and have re-engaged students who otherwise would have dropped off and may have dropped out. I was able to get a small budget to purchase the major equipment, but, the smaller things and the touches that make a classroom a truly immersive gaming lab have alluded me. Getting funding for this project will enable my students to be immersed in a gaming environment where they will be able to have the equipment to effectively build and develop games and improve their collaborative efforts in a professional environment.
