My Students
My students are beautiful, intelligent, kind, and resourceful. They spend a lot of time riding the bus to and from school since they travel from a major city into the suburbs for their public school education. Many of my students are from single parent families and the majority have breakfast and lunch provided for them due to their economic status.
My goal is to provide a positive environment from the moment each one walks into my classroom to the time they get on the bus.
My students need activity during the day to help with their concentration and behavior. They love to read, write, draw, color, laugh, and work together to solve problems.
My Project
My students will use the technology center daily to practice math and reading skills. I will be able to differentiate their learning by utilizing the free websites such as Khan Academy, Zearn, ABCya!, and many others.
The Chromebooks and headphones will add to the two desk top computers we currently use for our daily center activities.
Many of my students do not have daily access to computers or the internet at home. With the addition of these two Chromebooks all students will have daily access for practicing computer skills necessary for our state assessments.
There will be joy in learning while using these Chromebooks and headphones.
