Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
They are dual immersion students who have been in bilingual classes since first grade. After so many years learning the language they are taking the Spanish AP test this year, which is a college level class that gives them 3 college credits. The pandemic and the school closure last year made it difficult for them to keep practicing the language.
Despite this challenge, they are great kids and work really hard to do their best.
They are always focused in class and they really care about their education goals.
My Project
The classroom supplies will help my Spanish dual immersion students to do a variety of activities that will help them become more proficient in Spanish and pass the Spanish AP test. The books will help them to aquire vocabulary, improve comprehension and become more fluent. The mouses will make it easier for them to practice the AP test in the computers and work in assignments and projects in class.
Students need to know the culture as well, and the art supplies, such as the pencils, the pencil sharpener and the colored pencils will help them to work in Spanish art and other cultural projects,
