My students are an amazing group of kids.
I have been given the opportunity this year to move up to 4th grade with my 3rd graders from last year. I have seen them rise to all of the challenges that I put in front of them and they constantly challenge me to be a more progressive and thoughtful teacher.
My students are thinkers, dreamers, and hard workers. They come from all backgrounds and bring with them various life stories and experiences. Their uniqueness is what has helped us to create a trusting and loving classroom community.
My Project
Technology in the classroom is fresh and exciting. It hooks the student into the speaker and the lesson.The use of technology is a daily practice of mine. However, I would like to have more technology options readily available for my students. The iPads and chromebooks are great for being able to research concepts, practice reading and math skills, as well as a way for students to access the curriculum from a source other than their textbooks. The all-in-one printer will allow me to print out color pictures that the students have taken for our math and language concept boards. The color will bring their work to life and add to a deeper understanding. The printer will also allow me to make copies of handouts and notes that my learning disabled students need to have in order to access the curriculum. I love bringing technology into the classroom and doing it in such a way that the tools are student friendly and easily accessible.
