My students need a lap top attached to my Smart Board so that we can interact with each other and use the Smart Board to it full potential.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I think one of the challenges faced by many young people today in my classroom is they do not have access to technology like they should. I want to give the students all the opportunity to use the technology we have.
I have a great group of students that are always very eager to try new things.
Technology is one of those things that my students love to try and have fun with. I was given a SMART Board by a fellow teacher at my school to use in my classroom. It is a great interactive piece of technology; the problem is I do not have a lap top to connect to the SMART Board so right now all it is is a glorified projector screen. I want to give the student the chance to use it.
My Project
SMART boards offer a new tool for teaching. Whether it is being utilized to teach a class about geometry or to use for a presentation on the human body, the SMART board has interactive capabilities that provide a lot of use. You can use it as an interactive piece where you can use your finger or the pens to write notes on the board. You can also save any files that are viewed on the SAMRT board and bring them up at a later time. As a teacher, I would love to use it to have the students come up to the board to show their work and their thinking in every subject.
I really think it is important for my students to be introduced to and play with new technology.
We live in such a tech savvy world that if these children do not start playing around with technology now, they will not have the upper hand in this world.
