This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a music teacher, I love incorporating music centers into my classroom. Unfortunately, it is not in our budget to buy iPads for my classroom. We are a Title I school and the budget is especially tight for music and the arts.

iPads have amazing music technology built into them.

GarageBand can help the children create their very own compositions. They can also create "music videos" to go along with it. It's a fun and engaging way for them to compose. Also, music is becoming more and more technological. It will give them skills that they will need in the future, things like AI music programs and some apps I can download on the devices to help them practice.

The additional items will be useful as well. The pens can be gifted to children who participate in extra musical events throughout the year. The bluetooth connector can help me hook up some devices in the room and the headphones would be for me to go around to all of their keyboards and listen in on them.
