Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a Title I School; we are located in a low income neighborhood. They are eager to learn but lack the necessary supplies. School starts in August, and parents struggle to purchase supplies or even uniforms.
My students are hungry not for food but for knowledge.
They come to school with hopes and dreams. I want to enhance their dreams by increasing their knowledge. Fifth grade is a crossroads for my students as they are on their way to middle school. My students enjoy working on workstations.
My Project
After Harvey my students are emotionally devastated. We are requesting an iPad want to bring in technology into the classroom. Technology connects my students to the rest of the world. We received helped from all over the nation. Now I want to share the nation to my classroom.
Some student lost their own grasp of safety and comfort.
I want to create a safe environment in my classroom. I am also requesting a Lakeshore set of workstations. Workstations help us spiral previous content. We use pencils a basic need but pencils seem to fly out of the room. Also we are requesting tape dispensers we use them in our interacting journal. We tape foldables and create amazing lessons and strategies in our journal.
