Technology Access to young Learners & a Comfy Corner
My students need tablets, a classroom rug, headphones and additional pillows! This will allow them the ability to learn from different areas in the classroom and use tablets to complete research and practice their reading.
My students are 5th graders at Hamilton Elementary School. They are excited to learn and always willing to try something new. They do not receive many opportunities to use technology excluding sharing a laptop cart with all of the grades in the school. They love to read and I feel as though if they had laptops or iPads they could have the opportunity to complete research and read. Most of my students do no have access to a computer or to the internet at home due to coming from low income families. I want my students to have the same opportunities as those around them! Let's work together to bring technology into the lives of these young students!
My Project
My fifth grade students would benefit from tablets in the classroom that they could use on a regular basis. Majority of my students do not have internet at home and struggle to complete assignments and use the interactive online learning program IREADY which is unique differentiated learning.
My students love to use technology and they live in an era of technology, tablets would give them the opportunity to learn how to research which is a life long skill that will help them become college ready and career ready!
Let's work together to bring technology into the lives of these great students. The students are in need of headphones we currently have one working pair of headphones for five computers. If we are able to reach our goal and fund this project students will have headphones for the computers and tablets.
Students enjoy being able to grab a pillow and find a new spot in the room or a comfy corner to read on the ground. A new classroom rug and pillows would allow the students to learn from multiple locations in the classroom! Let's work together to provide this opportunity for 50 students each day they are in school!
