This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my class must continue to develop the skills needed in the age of technology.
We want our classroom to be a community of published authors with digital portfolios and for the students to have access to learning while on the internet.
My students love to learn and get immediate feedback on their learning from various free platforms on the web. We need access to technology in our rooms to use as centers, to publish wriitng pieces and keep digital portfolios of their work.
My Project
My students adore writing. While their handwriting may need work and their willingness to clean write final pieces may be an issue, their pleasure to share their writing is not in question. They will use the chrome-books to publish their work, build digital portfolios of their work as well as use the technology to have access to free educational platforms. We use a variety of educational programs to work on mathematics, science, coding and other STEAM projects that give immediate feedback as they work on math strands, align learning to the Common Core State Standards and challenge them to the next level.
