My Students
My students would benefit from an exposure to a variety of children's novels. Teaching reading requires a variety of learning experiences and I would like to make these experiences permanent. If reading is enjoyable students can learn todays challenging curriculum standards with a bit more ease. After instilling a love for reading, I will assist them in the writing process in becoming published authors.
Classic literature books can expose children to a secret world they never dreamed about.
Chapter books or classic children's stories should be part of the primary curriculum and helping relate these connections through reading, and writing will last a lifetime.
My Project
I want to emphasize a love for reading through a classic and popular children's story. My goal this year is to incorporate this love for reading in transferring the knowledge they have acquired from reading the classic story and recreating an adaptation for Alice in Wonderland.
I would like to receive the laptop to give an opportunity to my students who may not have access to a computer at home, and it will allow them to practice reading and computer skills.
My school has a very diverse population and it would be a nice opportunity for my students to learn and treasure a memory with skills for their future.
