My Students
Every student in my classroom deserves only the best every day in school. The boys and girls come to fourth grade every day full of energy and curiosity. They are ambitious, smart, and committed.
Our neighborhood school is 60 years old, but it is young at heart!
Inside its brick walls, kids happily research and write, confer and collaborate. These are urban students who walk to school from a changing and growing community. My kids reflect their own diverse world.
My Project
We are so lucky! We have enough Chromebooks for every student in our class, acquired bit-by-bit over the years from Donorschoose contributions (THANK YOU SO MUCH)! Our well-used Chromebooks are wearing out after more than five years of use, despite our care, so we must replace them.
My students use these tools to research animals, read books online from our school district library, check out formats for science fair posters and newsletters, write essays and poems, and use Google classroom DAILY.
Our Chromebooks truly are interchangeable with paper and pencils in our classroom and are critical tools for our learning.
