I teach a group of highly motivated and diverse learners at a Title I school. My class is an enrichment classroom with accelerated learning opportunities for my 18 high performing first graders. These students are talented readers and enjoy challenging and above grade level work. This year, these students will be learning first grade standards but will have many opportunities to interact with text and tasks that extend beyond first grade requirements.
When I raise the bar, my students always rise to the occasion.
My Project
My school has provided me with 3 student computers. I have 18 or more students in my room at all times, so if we are doing an activity that requires integrated technology, we are always having a difficult time figuring out how to share computers. Our school has no computer lab, and all additional laptops are delegated to upper grades for FSA testing.
With an additional laptop, we will be able to do more i-Ready, AR quizzes, research, and writing every day!
