My students need 2 camcorders to be roaming reporters on school campus and to add video clips to our announcements and do more in depth personal projects with the Tech-Pup.

My Students
Coming at you Live with Late Breaking News! We want the ability to report real life situations and interviews etc. at our school to give students the experience of what it is like being a true in the field reporter and to educate the school on what's happening on our campus.
I am a Media Specialist for an elementary school with almost 1,100 students.
I see all grades each week in the Specials Rotation. We also have an afterschool Club called Techno-Pups who run all the equipment on the announcements. (Sound Board, Mixer, Scroller~Prompter/ & the DSK) Since the Techno-Pups help run the announcements, we would like to take things outside the studio and have them interview teachers, and report on things happening around the campus. The Techno-Pups would also use the Camcorders for projects assigned within the Club after school.
My Project
We want students to experience real life reporting so that they can report real life situations happening at school. Ex: Interview teachers, do anti-bullying commercials, highlight holidays & report on topics such as cancer awareness, Hispanic Heritage month, and Students struggles with a disability.
Our Project is important because we really hope to enhance the atmosphere of the school.
We hope to Showcase Teachers, Students, Holidays, Disabilities being overcome, and making the school aware of accomplishments and Character Ed. Traits. When the atmosphere of the school is positive, and students are learning emotional intelligence and problem solving and celebrating differences, then academics will explode with growth.
