My Students
All of my students live in a large city in Michigan and receive free lunch. Many of my students come to me speaking little or no English. Here, at our wonderful school, there is something for everyone. Even the parents like to engage in our learning opportunities.
My students don't like sitting around; they like to be engaged and to explore new things.
As their teacher, I would like to make available a wide variety of learning materials so they can engage and learn in a variety of ways. I also want to make sure they are well fed so they can concentrate on learning and not hunger pains.
My Project
Its hard to imagine that in this day and age many children do not have pictures or videos of themselves and their friends and families. In my classroom we are limited to creating all about me boards, as many students do not have pictures to bring in. Having a Microsoft computer in the room will allow for pictures and videos that will enhance learning in my room. The HP printer will let students print pictures and assignments to take home and extend their learning.
Funding this project will allow my students to use technology to capture themselves and their school experience and to share with others.
Also, the Microsoft computer applications will allow for learning to be extended through technology. The multiple sets of earbuds will allow this new technology to become a learning center.
