My Students

Ahhh! 7th grade! A time of new teachers, raging hormones, and many new expectations and responsibilities! So many changes often make that transition difficult for many middle schoolers.

Science is one class period where students can move around, get their hands into learning, and have a little fun.

Today's students live in a technology based world. Since a vast majority of my students do not have access to computers at home, giving them access at school will better prepare them for this technological world of work they are facing soon enough.

Technology such as Chromebooks can empowers students and foster independence while allowing access to an unlimited amount of resources.

My students have worked so hard this school year and have grown by leaps and bounds. They have questions about every topic I introduce. When you donate to my classroom, you are providing educational opportunities to students who are excited to learn and appreciate every opportunity to do so.

My Project

In order to prepare my students for tomorrow's world, they must not only have a grasp on how technology fuels careers, but they must also be well-rounded students that can work in a group setting to communicate and problem solve. These Chromebooks will add to the long term goal of a class set for students to complete coding projects in Scratch, research STEM projects, and complete enrichment programs.

Currently, my students share a few Chromebooks and iPads or must wait their turn for the computer lab that we share with the entire middle school.

With class sizes that range from 18 to 30 students each class period, sharing a small technology station is not ideal. Adding computers to our classroom set will encourage the students and help tech our classroom out!
