This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Technology is essential to today's world. My students want to learn how to code our 3 Wonder Workshop Dash Robots but we only have one classroom iPad.

The Apple iPad that I am requesting will help me integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics into our curriculum.

By using the iPad to write the code which makes our robots run, my students will learn about computer programming and robotics. This will provide students with a concrete, visual model of what they are creating and will help them learn more easily how to understand the logic behind computer programming and most importantly, how to connect these disciplines to the real world.

This valuable tool will help my students apply critical thinking skills, problem solving skills and teamwork.

Learning how to create code and see our classroom robot follow it will promote their self-confidence and will inspire them to continue to create. This resource will demonstrate how Science, Math and Art are so closely integrated in real life. It will help prepare my students to be tech-literate, an essential skill in today's world.
