My Project

As a science teacher in Northeast Washington, DC, I work with a group of incredible students who face many challenges due to limited resources and economic hardship. Most of my scholars come from low-income households where access to educational tools and technology is scarce. My classroom is often the only place where they can engage with high-quality materials that support their learning and creativity. The items on this list are not luxuries, they are necessities that will significantly enhance their educational experience.

The classroom headphones will help students focus during digital assignments and online testing without distractions.

The Bluetooth speakers will allow me to amplify audio for science videos, group discussions, and student presentations, creating a more dynamic learning environment. A wireless mouse will improve ease of access to our classroom devices, especially for students with developing motor skills. The laminator will allow me to preserve important learning materials, making them reusable throughout the year. Most importantly, the MacBook will empower me to create engaging science lessons, manage digital content, and provide real-time feedback to my students.

Each of these tools will help bridge the opportunity gap and ensure my students receive the high-quality education they deserve. Your support makes a lasting difference in the lives of my scholars, and I am deeply grateful for your generosity.
