My Students
My students are hard workers who have a wide range of strengths. I work with special education students in sixth grade in a neighborhood school in a Title I district. Many families of the students I work with are in a lower income range, and they come from very diverse cultural, familial, and economic backgrounds. However, this does not stop them from always trying their best!
My Project
Currently students come in-person and learn remotely. After returning to in-person learning I quickly noticed several students are having a difficult time using a touchpad. The sensitivity of the touchpad causes a lot frustration for many of my students. The staff try to help, but the touchpad involves a lot of practice and hand/eye coordination that after months of using my students are still having a lot of difficulty. Providing them with the wireless mouse and mousepads will help ease these frustrations.
Since students are learning both at home and in-person I am teaching to both group of students simultaneously!
Having the technology cart and adapter will assist me to continue teaching both groups of students and the ability to connect all of my devices for smooth instruction. The padded carrying cases will ensure my students devices go from class to class safely!
