My students live in some of the most challenging home environments. Poverty, prison, single parent, drugs and death plague some of my sweet students. My third-graders have endured life-changing events that some adults could not handle.
Even after all of this, my students still smile when they come to school.
My students are my children. The teachers at my Title I school endure a lot of sweat and tears and truly love teaching the children there. We are there because we are needed.
My Project
How often do you use your iPhone, iPad or computer? My awesome, creative, vivacious students have limited access to updated technology to use throughout the day. These readers, artists, poets, graphic designers, computer engineers...they deserve more!
With the help of updated technology, my 3rd graders will be able to access learning material whether they are in school or learning from home.
This will increase our classroom technology from 5 to 10!
Most of the students lack access to technology in the home, which motivates us to provide these tools at school even more. These funny, dedicated, brilliant, kind, inquiring minds will rise to any academic challenge presented to them. My students are 8 and 9-year-olds who need stimulating and enthralling academic exposures in order to help solidify the content they are learning. We learn together in a large Pre-K to grade 5 school that does the best it can for our highly impoverished population. Our school is Title I and have a high need for differentiation and authentic learning experiences. Our school is a family of teachers, support staff and learners that truly care about one another and work together to deliver the best for each and every one of our students. Thank you for your help.
