My Students
My students are in temporary housing. I am the community coordinator and I support students and their families with housing, benefits, and all other needs.
While many of my students are experiencing displacement, homelessness, doubled up, etc.
many of them are still doing well in class and are resilient enough not to let those circumstances stop them from being all they can be.
My students are special needs and are diagnosed with different mental, educational, or social disabilities. They still work just as hard as the students in general education.
My Project
Hello! While we are gearing up for the new school year, we are noticing parents who are unable to afford technology. With so many things going on in the world, I would like to work with my students to teach them about different ways to better their communities. I would like to include remote and blended students.
Please assist me in providing them with the technology that they need to research their communities needs and to complete projects and reach out to officials to try to change their communities for the better.
I have included a poster board and markers to make signs for donations and also some books as gifts for children who are working hard in these times. I will be working with my students on letter writing, the importance of voting and how to organize community donations!
