Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth graders are super awesome! Every year they surprise me in how much they want to be at school with their friends and wanting to learn. They do not come from families with a lot of extra money for school supplies, especially during covid. Having these materials already for them takes that worry away so they can focus on learning. The use of these materials is used in almost all daily activity in my classroom, especially in math.

Using the lined chart paper, students can visually see an exemplar anchor charts to help model strategies.

The individual spiral notebooks students use to record those modeled strategies. We go through a lot of pencils, erasers, and paper throughout the year. Students having a pair of own earbuds will be a tremendous tool to help the students focus on individualized learning and those gaps they might have from time lost in the class due to Covid. Help save my ears!
