My Students
It is my desire to help my 2nd grade student become technologically ready to meet global challenges. Our school is a Title I, inner-city school 100% free lunch. Often times the students aren't exposed to technology at home.
My students are eager to learn and by using technology to escape the bounds of the classroom, my students will learn to work in ways you never dreamed of.
My students have some behavior problems and using computers will also help to motivate and capture their attention.
My Project
Technology, such as these Chromebooks, makes it easier to supplement verbal content like reading and lectures with pictures and graphs. In the old days, students could write in a notebook, and what they wrote was seen only by the teacher. By using technology our class can: Make a PowerPoint presentation, record/edit spoken word, do digital photography, make a video, run a class newspaper, run a web based school radio or TV show.
More of my students will be able to read and complete accelerated reading test in a timely fashion.
Our class will be able to work as a class on web based projects.
