I work in a multi-cultural school and my class has a diverse population of students.
They often require graphic organizers, vocabulary translated in different languages, and other teacher-created resources to help break down information.
They also need extra time to complete assignments and have difficulty taking notes. They want to learn, but they don't always have someone to motivate them. They often go home to empty houses because their parents are working or their parents don't understand the classwork and are unable to help them.
My Project
The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will help my students by giving them additional interactive resources to help them practice math skills while learning in school and at home. Students learn better when they are engaged and the activities on Teachers Pay Teachers will motivate my students. This year is the first time many of my students have been in school in two years. They still aren't able to do traditional group work. They need new and creative ways to make learning enjoyable. One of my students' favorite Teacher Pay Teachers activities is digital escape rooms. My classes had fun practicing what they learned and were able to self-monitor their progress. I would love to be able to provide more digital escape room lessons for my students. Many of the resources are differentiated, so I can create assignments that meet the different needs of my students.
