My class is made up of a variety of students from all over our city. We work hard, play hard, and learn all day. My class is the class of 2025. They are bright and up on all the tech gadgets available today. They are learning how to use today's technology as part of their learning.
I have taught in the public school setting for twenty-one years.
I have taught grades 2 – 5, science lab, and computer lab. I work as the lead teacher with the After School Care program. I recently added my library certification to my teaching license. I want to help students become tech savvy. I work weekly to stay on top of the newest technology available for elementary students.
My Project
I want to participate in professional development that will help spark an interest in my students and introduce them to new technology. With an iPad mini I can benefit from online webinars and workshops offered by Carnegie Learning. One example of a webinar I would participate in is titled: The Tech Savvy Teacher: Tools to Increase Your Effectiveness in the Classroom. This webinar will allow me to explore a variety of online tools to increase students' engagement and achievement.
Donations to this project will provide an iPad mini for professional development that will allow me to keep my students up to date on all the new tech savvy trends in education.
The use of all the technology available in today's 21st century is how the class of 2025 will become lifelong learners. Your donation will help me meet this goal.
