Tech Promotes Reading & Math

My students need Chromebooks to do math and reading. A great advantage of Chromebooks is that they don't take up space. My students can use them anywhere in the classroom.

My Students

My first grade classroom consists of twenty-three students. My school is very diverse. Many cultures are represented. My school is a K-6 building with an enrollment of over 400 students.

The students in my classroom love to learn.

They are mathematicians, scientists, readers, writers, authors, and explorers.

As a teacher, my goal is to give them many ways to learn. I provide books, technology, and hands on activities to further their education. I love to teach. My reward is watching my students grow in their learning.

My Project

I am requesting three chrome books for my classroom. I plan on having the students do programs that enhance their learning. Lexia, which is a reading program, will be used on the chrome books. This a kid-friendly reading program to assist my students to achievement reading skills. Our math program has computer games and activities to reteach skills for each unit. Also, I will be using a program that helps students memorize their math facts.

The chrome books will be another avenue to achieve proficiency of first grade skills.

Students love technology! They will have fun learning without paper and pencil.
