Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students demonstrate a love for learning when the opportunity is presented to them. They are always excited when I share new ideas and the books and materials that go along with those ideas. My students are very eager to learn something new each day at school.

They get excited when I bring in a new game to play or a new activity or even a new book to read which helps them to master a new skill especially learning about feelings and the way they feel.

They are special because they want to learn. They just need more supplies, games, activities, technology, and books to help them get to the next level in their learning.

My Project

Students in today's society learn from different outlooks. Technology in the classroom will allow students to expand on what they already know, expand their knowledge to want to learn more, build communities between students and their peers promote and support social development and the interactions between the students and peers.

As educators, we must use our professional judgment and incorporate technology in order to enhance peer-to-peer interactions.

Teachers in the classroom should use technology where students can experience learning together, whether it is with themselves, teachers and or other peers in the classroom. According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) 2012 report outlining best classroom practices, “effective technology tools connect on-screen and offscreen activities with an emphasis on co-viewing and co-participation between adults and children and children and their peers" (Takeuchi 2011).” (NAEYC, pg.7).

Math skills and literacy skills are can be learned with technology. High-quality interactive software solutions can help accelerate a student’s early learning skills of math and literacy. Today's, collaborative nature of the software allows students to connect with the content instantly and permits teachers to identify and respond to student mistakes and successes almost immediately and change software applications quickly to adjust to the student's learning and abilities to learn.
