it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In today’s fast-paced digital world, students in Business Information Management I need more than just screen time to master the skills that prepare them for the workplace. That’s why I’m combining hands-on, low-tech tools with our high-tech curriculum to reinforce business concepts, sharpen digital literacy, and keep students actively engaged.
This project will provide my high school students with a 3x2 whiteboard, 144 chisel tip and 12 bullet tip Expo markers, magnetic microfiber erasers, Sharpie gel pens, 200 lamination pouches, and 500 sheets of cardstock.
These resources will allow us to create reusable materials for business simulations, project planning, digital citizenship activities, keyboarding drills, and data entry practice.
Students will use the whiteboard and markers to collaborate on flowcharts, mind maps, and business proposals in small groups. Laminated templates made from cardstock will serve as permanent tools for tracking typing progress, practicing formulas in Excel, completing business scenario worksheets, and more. The Sharpie gel pens are perfect for peer reviews and making polished notes during presentations or career readiness exercises.
This blend of tactile and tech-friendly materials supports a variety of learning styles and prepares students to think critically, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively—skills that are essential in both the classroom and the modern workplace.
