Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With the requested iPad, students will benefit from more dynamic, tech-integrated learning in both my Speech & Debate and College Government classes. For example, during a government simulation, I can project real-time political updates, walk students through source evaluation, and annotate Supreme Court cases while modeling effective digital research strategies. During Speech & Debate, I’ll provide immediate feedback on student speeches using apps like Notability, helping them revise arguments and improve delivery on the spot.
The iPad also allows me to design differentiated lessons using tools like Edpuzzle and record mini-lessons students can review independently.
At tournaments, I’ll use the iPad to coordinate ballots, schedules, and live updates, so students stay organized and supported off-campus. Ultimately, this tool will help students engage more equitably, develop critical civic and communication skills, and experience real-time feedback and learning—both inside and beyond the classroom.
