Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Suppose we don't have sturdy working headphones. In that case, students can not hear the questions read aloud to them on computer tests or academic computer applications, nor can they succeed in any testing on the computer if they can not hear passages, conversations, or the question itself. If they let the computer run the test without the headphones, then everything is read out loud, thus disturbing the other students who are trying hard to concentrate.

We have been given some headset and ear buds, but they break and tangle quickly, making it impossible to replace constantly.

We put the headphones and earbuds in plastic bags to protect them. Still, year to year, with so many students always using them for their regular daily academic programs like i-Ready Math and Language Arts, as well as weekly testing, they wear down fast.

We are hoping to get a class set with a few extras for us to be able to feel confident and safe in doing our computer tests and academic online computer programs. When students don't have working headphones, they can not complete their online assignments or tests, and they feel bad and lose confidence in themselves and, eventually, the school. I have asked our school for replacement headphones, but there are no more, and the earbuds are also running out. I want to be able to get some high-quality headsets to be able to use for more than just a year or two. I hope these Sony headphones will do the job and fix the problem of many headphones breaking this year after being used last year.
