My Project
In our middle school library, we aim to inspire and engage students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through interactive learning experiences. The Sphero Indi robots are a powerful tool for teaching foundational coding, problem-solving, and logical thinking in a hands-on and accessible way. With their intuitive design and programmable features, these robots offer students of all ages the opportunity to learn while having fun. The best part? They're screen-free!
The goal of our project is to incorporate these robots into our AMS library program to empower students to explore the world of robotics, coding, and computational thinking.
Through guided lessons, team challenges, and problem-solving activities, we will engage students in building their own understanding of technology in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
Sphero Indi robots are a perfect fit for our program for several reasons:
- Easy to Use: The robots are designed for young learners, requiring no prior coding experience.
- Hands-On Learning: Students can interact directly with the robots and see the immediate impact of their coding decisions.
- Encourages Collaboration: The robots can be used in group activities, fostering teamwork and communication.
- Supports Curriculum Standards: Indi robots support the development of coding, sequencing, and problem-solving skills, aligned with educational standards for STEM.
