My Project
I love that my preschoolers are full of curiosity and energy and love learning. Many are English language learners or have learning disabilities, making it essential to provide engaging, individualized instruction. However, due to budget constraints, our classroom lacks the technology needed to enhance their early learning experiences. An iPad with headphones will create an interactive learning environment, supporting:
- Language development through interactive storybook apps and speech-to-text features
- Fine motor skills using touchscreen activities that enhance hand-eye coordination
- Early literacy with engaging phonics and vocabulary-building
This technology will help students:
- Build Early Literacy Skills
- Improve Fine Motor Control –
- Enhance Lesson Engagement & Focus
To measure the impact of this project, I will track student progress through:
- Monthly progress monitoring to assess skill development
- Curriculum-based assessment three times per year to measure academic growth
Studies indicate that technology-enhanced learning provides meaningful cognitive and literacy benefits for early childhood education.
