This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are bright, eager to learn, and ready to take on any academic challenge. I teach at a Title I Elementary school with a diverse population of children. Although family income is low, my students deserve a world-class education and
I intend on giving my students every opportunity to succeed in the classroom, whether virtually, or in the school building on-site.
We are going back to school this year virtually, and I will teach my students content courses in math, science, and social studies. My students and I had to urgently social distance when school closed in March. We were left with the materials that we had in our homes. Students will continue this type of learning, at least, until the COVID-19 numbers of community members with the virus have decreased, and it is safe to return.
My students and I would be grateful for a donation of any kind.
My Project
My students will begin this school year online. The HP laptop computer will give my students the ability to hear me and see me clearly, as I teach my students math, science, and social studies lessons.
My current computer is not equipped to run many different applications at once.
With the HP laptop, I will be able to run applications at the same time, going back and forth between the different programs as I instruct my students. Lessons will be engaging as I bring science into their living rooms and work out math problems with them, on screen. My students and I are grateful for any contribution to their learning.
