My Students
My students are the best! I have a group of students that are in Kindergarten and in the first grade. My students have special needs and most have a diagnosis of Autism. Many of the students I work with are non-verbal but still communicate through other ways. Although it is sometimes it is a challenge to keep them engaged in educational activities, the one common interest they share is technology and music/games. Despite their disabilities, everyday my students prove to me that they can do things that I may have not thought were possible. They inspire me to become a better teacher.

Although my students are capable of so much, it is often difficult to give them all the opportunities possible that will help them achieve the most progress.
My Project
Working with students with disabilities can often prove to be a challenge. With a little help, I am ready to accept this challenge! I work with elementary-aged students who are mostly on the Autism spectrum. Because of their age and the barriers they face, we must meet our students' needs in whatever ways we can.
Early learners benefit greatly from interactive activities and in 2021 it is no surprise that technology is at the forefront of this approach.
Help me engage my students in our lessons with the use of educational resources that technology can provide and help them reach new heights!
