This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
If you were to walk into my classroom today you will be greeted by 22 smiling faces who are honestly some of the most amazing young humans I have ever met!
Let's help these kids break down some of the barriers that hold them back!
Our school is blessed to be in a well diverse community filled with hard working families! (Not to mention we are only 5 minutes way from the heart of the "Biggest Little City", Reno) This strong work ethic that we are surrounded by is very prevalent in my students.
Many of my students are English Learners and many of their families struggle financially. Since technology and 21st century learning is an important part of everyday life, I want to give my students access to a whole new way of learning.
My Project
Technology is the way of the future and I am slowing trying to get my classroom set up with 1:1 tech. These Chromebooks will allow my students to access digital platforms for in-person and home learning. Not to mention they will give my students the skills for 21st century learning!
My students need and deserve an education that meets their specific needs.
Having Chromebooks in the classroom will help with this. This is especially true if/when my students have to switch over to home learning. The online platforms that we want to utilize will help students acquire the skills needed to be successful in all content areas and as a bonus we can finally begin our coding skills!
