My Students

I believe that every student should walk into a well-stocked classroom where they will always have the supplies to create, learn, and explore new ideas.

Welcome to a 3rd grade, bilingual classroom full of hard-working, enthusiastic students!

My bilingual classroom is the landing spot for 3rd graders who have just arrived in the United States. My students are incredibly hard workers who always come to school ready to learn, no matter what is going on outside of the classroom. My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with all that they need to be successful learners.

My Project

Many people say that technology in the classroom is an asset. I agree with these people, but only when technology is used well. My students love to use our classroom desktops and our school's laptop cart, when it is available. They use these computers to research topics we are studying or for individualized reading and math support.

My students are learning about different types of engineers and the work they do to solve real-world problems.

With this iPad, my students will be able to create apps, code and program robots, and work just like mechanical engineers. My class is studying the work of different types of engineers and how the work they do impacts our lives. Then, students will be working as mechanical engineers to solve real world problems by creating and coding different types of robots. They may address such varied problems such as creating safe streets, protecting our environment, or building cars that don't require gasoline. However, without the iPad, they will not be able to code or program their robots. With your support, my students will have the tools they need to successfully complete this unit of study!
