Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a small CPS school on the west side of Chicago. I teach middle school math and ela. My students deserve the best of resources that money can buy and unfortunately we severely lack in that area.
After looking at my school's report card, I have discovered that 95% of the students at my school are African American or Hispanic and 93.5 of our students come from low income homes.
Our school desperately needs greater access to resources for our learners.
My Project
Technology is all around us and should be used in every day learning. Its a valuable tool for assessment, instruction, and guided and independent practice. We need a class set of Chromebooks to make learning interactive and engaging through the web!
My number one goal is to build a paperless classroom and that cannot be done without your help!
Our paperless classroom would include interactive online discussions, lessons through various sites, flipped classroom, ands much more! I want students to learn how to use technology to enhance learning because they are surrounded by technology daily! Please consider donating to these kiddos!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
