This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The pandemic has seriously depleted the number of laptops our school has for students to use. Most of the school's laptops were distributed to families for remote learning but were never returned. In this digital age, laptops are an indispensable tool for learning. Our students need to have access to laptops in class if they are to make significant progress and keep up with their same-age peers in this technologically driven society. I teach students with special needs, who would benefit from various programs such as text to speech apps and various math and literacy apps. There are also mandated assessments that students need to complete online. My colleagues have created projects to get more laptops into our students hands and these 3 would most definitely help add to what we have available for them. Thank you in advance!
