it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Financial literacy is a crucial skill that many students lack, yet it is essential for navigating life’s financial challenges. To address this gap, I am seeking support for a project that will help my students with fundamental financial skills through interactive and engaging resources.
In our diverse classroom at our school, many of my students come from backgrounds where they haven’t had much exposure to financial education and this often means they miss out on most important lessons about managing money, budgeting, and saving for the future.
Without these skills, they might find it challenging to make smart financial decisions and plan for their lives ahead. By offering engaging and hands-on financial literacy resources, my hope is to fill this gap and give our students the tools they need to feel confident and prepared in their financial futures.
To bring financial literacy to life, we need three key resources:
1. iPad: This device will allow us to utilize interactive apps that teach financial concepts in a hands-on manner. Students will engage with simulations and digital activities that make abstract ideas relatable.
2. Financial Literacy Games: These games will make learning about budgeting, saving, and investing fun. By playing, students will gain practical experience with financial concepts in a way that traditional lessons often cannot provide.
