Teamwork in Action: STEM Building with Magna-Tiles

Help me give my students six sets of Magna-Tiles so they can collaborate in engineering design teams to build, design, and explore STEM concepts through hands-on play.

My Project

I absolutely love how curious, imaginative, and full of energy my K-2 students are. Every day, they walk into my EXPLORE special ready to explore, build, and discover the world around them. Their excitement for learning is contagious, especially when they get the chance to create something with their hands and collaborate with their peers.

These Magna-Tiles will provide a meaningful, hands-on way for my students to explore important STEM concepts like geometry, engineering, and spatial reasoning—while also building their creativity, communication, and teamwork skills.

Working in teams to build with Magna-Tiles encourages problem-solving, strengthens fine motor development, and helps students develop the ability to share ideas and materials respectfully. This resource will give them the opportunity to learn through play, which is so important at this developmental stage.
