Team Work in Kindergarten

My Students

My students are in a team-taught kindergarten classroom. That means there are about forty students and two teachers all in one room learning together. They are five and six years old and are full of life. They come into school every day and are happy to see each other.

They are ready to learn new things.

Our Title I school is located in a small town. It is a wonderful school to be a part of. Students come in and are welcomed by school members who want to help them learn to succeed!

My Project

We have flexible seating in our classroom. One of our students' favorite place to sit is on the floor. This year, we have gotten some lower tables for the kids to use when sitting on the floor. We do not have carpet in our classroom and the floor can start to feel a hard after working for a while. Our students need some comfy pillows that they can sit on when they are working on the floor.

All students learn in different ways.

In our classroom, we help teach our students what seating options will work best for their learning. Our students love to work together. A big part of kindergarten is learning how to get along with others and learning what makes each person unique and special. Our students will use the code-and-go robot mouse to help them learn to code while learning to work together to complete the tasks.

This project will help our students learn about tolerance while building friendships.
