Team Sports Make For Healthy Minds

My students need sports equipment sch as basketballs, soccer balls, weight equipment and volleyballs.

My Students

My students are a great group of students who are filled with a lot of energy. My students are a mixture of Brooklyn natives and recent immigrants to the country. We have a rather large population of recent Yemeni immigrants. They come to school excited to learn each day. Their excitement pushes me to do my best in creating lessons that will feed into their excitement.

My students are an energetic group that need physical activity to keep their minds and bodies healthy.

Physical activity allows the kids to focus better in the classroom. They all come to school daily, excited to learn and ready to improve their future. Physical instruction and team sports will just better support our school in creating well balanced and healthy students.

My Project

My students need a variety of sports equipment in order for them to remain healthy well balanced students. The sports equipment requested will support students in a variety of sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball and weight training. The equipment will be used in multiple extracurricular sports at our school along with daily use. The variety of equipment will support students interest and inspire them to try new team sports. The variety of equipment and sport options will allow different students to interact with each other during school along with extracurricular activities after classroom instruction is over. This interaction through sports will allow students to continue to build relationships and strengthen our school culture. Healthy activities such as soccer, volleyball and basketball will allow students to burn their energies and perform better in the classroom.
