Team Dream

Help me give my students a understanding of using visual and sensory tool to enhance their learning. The convertible sofa and bean bag will be used in the calming and reading center.

My Students

I am a Special Education teacher. I teach the Primary Cluster Program in Chicago. My students are in the Autistic family. I have some students that are verbal and nonverbal. My students are very happy and love coming to school. We have great family support and open communication lines with our parents.

My students really like to have fun.

They like to listen to music and play games. They are very creative; however, their social and sensory skills creates barriers to their development and growth in their academic and social growth.

My students fill our hearts with joy and smiles that makes our day. It is never a dull day because our lemon days turn into lemonade for laughter!

My Project

Most of these materials will help support the multiple learning styles that is in my classroom. The materials will also aid in supporting other clinicians to enhance student services.

The Math and Reading material will be great tools to support their understanding; along with providing tactile and visual support.

The materials selected will support differentiation for the various learners in my room.

The materials will also motivate and encourage them to learn different skills and they will have hands on material to compare what they learned in a classroom setting. My students will love their beautiful room!
