This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a school with students from diverse backgrounds and speak a variety of languages. My students are a diverse group who are on all different levels. I have many English Language learners as well. My goal is to have students leave my classroom reading on and/or above level.
My students love reading and look forward to reading centers where they can explore a variety of stories.
Even though my students are from diverse backgrounds and do not all have access to books and technology at home, they are always eager to learn and do their best while they are in school.
My Project
The supplies that I am requesting for my students will have a home! I know exactly how and where they will be used. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The giant timer will be used during workstations and completing assignments to teach my students about time management and be aware of there time. The mini flashlights will be used during independent reading as we turn off the light and pretend to read as if they were out camping. The math manipulatives will help them visualize about fractions and how they can be represented. And who wouldn't like to use a mini dry eraser? It will reduce the paper towels used when using the dry erasers during our warm-ups.
The donation to this project will help improve the understanding of time management and it will make reading and learning more fun!
By implementing time management, my students will have a better understanding of time as they go through their education career. I truly appreciate your support in making this a reality. Thank you!
