This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is found in rural Western Wisconsin 15 minutes from the Mississippi River. My students are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! These trade books will help expand my student's knowledge on topics we are learning in class.
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. I don't only plan on sharing this stories aloud, but students will have to opportunity to explore these texts during class, silent reading and choice time. We would be so appreciative for your contribution. Thank you for considering adding to our love of literacy!
