Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school where I teach is a Title I school in AZ. My students come from hardworking families who, most times, struggle to make ends meet. The majority of our students are not able to spend much time with their parents, as they are working multiple jobs to provide for their families.

Despite some of their less fortunate situations, my students come in ready to learn each day!

We have named ourselves "Phillipson's Phenoms" as a way to build positive classroom culture, and promote a self-confidence towards school and learning.

My Project

With adding an additional iPad to our classroom, students will have a greater opportunity to explore their learning through technology. iPads are an invaluable resource for students to use with a variety of ways for students to show their thinking and knowledge.

Exploring and fostering an interest in technology only increases student engagement and curiosity.

This is what I hope to do, by increasing the number of iPads we have available for students to use. Students will be able to explore a topic of their choice, learn at their own pace, and show their knowledge and understanding in a unique and interest-based way.
