This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My classroom is comprised of diverse, energetic, and curious students that are eager to learn every day. These children inspire me to provide engaging learning opportunities that address their academic and social needs. I am inspired by their ability to problem solve and their eagerness to learn. Their curiosity inspires me to ensure that I provide them with a well-rounded education. They are our future, who need to be nurtured and supported. I want to ensure I provide them with relevant and meaningful educational experiences.
My Project
Technology is essential in today’s learning environment. It keeps children engaged and learning. My students have limited access to technology. The Kindle Fires are a great way to ensure students have access to technology in the classroom. By incorporating the Kindle Fires into my class, I can use them in stations and have students working on practice, tests/quizzes, review lessons that they missed, or extension activities on various math websites. I will also be able to have students’ research problems and present their own data to the class or share through various apps and sites. Research shows the more students are exposed to quality literary passages, the more engaged they become in reading. These Kindle Fires are essential because they will allow access to resources that my students currently do not have.
