My students need Chromebooks to take their learning to a new level.

My students are some of the most hardworking students I have ever met. Because of my students, socioeconomic status, race, neighborhood they live in, family background/upbringing, and many other things that people may use to define my students, they strive daily to beat the odds and stereotypes society places on them. They are eager to learn and overcome challenges in and outside of the classroom.
My students have big dreams and big plans for their future.
They know that they are capable to do whatever they want, and I want to be sure to do as much as I can to help them with these endless possibilities. Our classroom is a family of future doctors, police officers, teachers, military men/women, lawyers, fathers, mothers, and so much more.
Having Chromebooks in my classroom will allow my students to use educational websites throughout the day. Everyday we participate in guided readings stations and math stations. Technology has become a huge part of 21st century learning and growing. These chromebooks give students the opportunity to interact with technology that they may not otherwise have access to. They will be used as a learning tool in the classroom. They will use websites such as raz-kids, studyladder, manga high, moby max, etc. to work on fundamental reading and math skills.
I am confident that these chromebooks will aid in my students success.
They also take the IREAD 3 test at the end of third grade. In addition to stations, these chromebooks will be used during my success period which is specifically designed to work on the very skills on the IREAD 3 test. Some of these skills include reading comprehension for fiction and non-fiction texts, synonyms and antonyms, homophones, homographs, prefixes/suffixes, vocabulary, and more.
